>> Stamp It Out A bit of philately-related fun today: Stamp it Out lets you create your own (just-for-fun-not-actually-legal-on-the-front-of-an-envelope) postage stamps.
Upload any photo and the site will shrink it down to stamp size, and create a sheet of your stamps (complete with pretend perforations) ready for you to print out.
While Stamp It Out is completely free, the Royal Mail do offer a similar service called Smilers. They charge £14.95 to print up 20 personalised Smilers with self-adhesive backing.
(NB: Even the Royal Mail product does not replace a conventional stamp – it’s an additional accessory to stick on the envelope next to your proper stamp!)

The Royal Mail Smilers DO replace the conventional stamp, they are not an additional accessory.

Hi Biffo.
According to the Royal Mail site: "Smilers Customised Sheets allow you to add a personal touch to your mail by combining our stamps with a photograph of your choice"
It may be that the smiler and the stamp are on the same self-adhesive sheet, but the stamp itself doesn't display your customised photo.
