>> Get Safe Online
This is the official site for a new campaign aimed at raising awareness of how to protect yourself online. Even if you start to glaze over at the mention of concepts like Viruses, spyware, spam, hackers and identity theft, this site is a good first port of call for anything to do with online security. Jargon is kept to a minium and when it is used you'll notice a dotted line underneath a word which links you straight to a definition.
There's advice for all computer owners - not just Windows users. If you have a computer security problem you can go straight to a Help! I've got a problem! section for specific advice. Or if you're not sure how to ensure your computer is safe from attack, a 10-minute beginners guide aims to give you a general security MOT.
Nice blog I must say, very concise and well thought out. I would like to introduce myself, I am one of a growning number in the blogging community, I am a Video Blogger or a Vlogger, I started by making little films on my e-mac using imovie and my little fuji digital camera that is capable of taking 320x240 pixel 20 second video clips and then posting them on the dailymotion.com website, where I get comments and rating for my films, a bit like viewing figures. I listen to Steve Wright quite a lot after radio 4's afternoon play. Anyway back to me, I have no experience or training in film making, just what I have learned from Making of Documentaries and editting via apple. I have about 20 or so short videos on my vlog and a few more on www.dailymotion.com/pjkproductions , most of them funny, some in french, due to the nature of posting on dailymotion(it's a french site. It would help the vlogging community if you could mention this hobby so that we get more numbers from the British Isles, there are only abot 20 or so vloggers registered on the Vlogmap site. It's a great hobby and a fantastic community to belong to, I have fans all over the world, mostly America or France and I have only been posting since 20th September 2005, so it's a pretty fast moving thing. I also don't mind doing an interview if you require one.
